In Search of Truth
Eliza’s memoir – the story of her spiritual search
Raised among the Cambridge intellectual elite with a distant father and authoritarian mother, Eliza grows up feeling inadequate and alone. Her parents’ friends offer support – notably the Rothschild family and Lord Bob Boothby.
In a bid to find love, she marries a charismatic young actor but when he lands the star role in a Fellini film, his focus turns elsewhere. As feelings of rejection set in, Eliza looks inward for answers, her spiritual search begins and she escapes to the Yorkshire Dales and devotes herself to writing, photography, teaching meditation and bringing up her three daughters.
As shadows from the past recede, horizons expand, and Eliza perceives a series of betrayals among her parents’ friends that make her question her own paternity. Determined to uncover the truth, she begins unraveling a tangled web of secrecy and scandal that not only touches upon her own family, but extends to the highest levels of government.
The Mystery of Martha
two women, two timelines, One Truth . . .
Two women – one from the English Lake District and the other from Bethany in Palestine – with seemingly unconnected lives. Neither is sure of their role or purpose, which prompts their search for truth and love. Martha of Bethany has Christ Yeshua as friend and guide and from a place of tenderness and intimacy, she witnesses him embodying the mystery and power of Love during the last three years of his life. This leads her on a journey to the Sacred Isles, where she discovers her own pathway to awakening.
Martha from Borrowdale’s story begins in 2000 AD as she faces challenges that expose her deepest fears and insecurities. With her partner Ben, she discovers the mystical Aramaic teachings of Christ Yeshua that offer her a pathway to Self-realisation.
The two redemptive stories weave alongside each other until finally they converge in a tale that uplifts, inspires and transforms.
